Initial Consultation
We offer in person, virtual (via video link) or phone consults. Your initial appointment is 45 minutes long. You will be provided with a questionnaire and some general information prior to your appointment. At the appointment we will go through your relevant medical and family history and discuss what is happening for you symptom wise and how it is affecting your lifestyle. We will then work with you to find solutions appropriate to you, ranging from menopause hormonal therapy, non-hormonal treatments, and lifestyle advice. With your permission we will send a letter outlining what we have discussed and recommended to your GP.
The price is $320 for an in-person consultation or $290 for a virtual consultation.
Follow-up Consultation
It is not uncommon for slight adjustments to be made to treatment. We would generally encourage a follow up appointment at roughly three months to see how any treatments are going and make any further recommendations. It can take several weeks to feel the full effects of menopause hormone treatment if this has been started.
Follow-up appointments are offered as a phone or virtual consult and are 20 minutes long. We can do a follow up consult earlier than 3 months if required. We are contactable via email after the initial consult for brief messages but may advise you to book a follow up consult if email is not a thorough enough way to deal with your queries. A follow up consultation is $140.
Ongoing Management
We can provide ongoing prescriptions to you at a charge of $30 per script. Repeat prescriptions can be requested via email. Please note that there will be an additional cost at the pharmacy per prescribed item. We would need a follow up appointment every six months at the follow up rate of $140 for ongoing prescriptions. If it has been more than 2 years since we have seen you, you will require an initial 45-minute consult again.
